70% Humidity, heavy heat load.
You queue everywhere you go, sweating with 3 kids + a friend.
And there is the mask. The one which protects you from the Covid19… its itchy, cause our skin to feel “young” again with few little red spots and its not very comfortable obviously.
Well, summer holiday just past us and now Tishrey’s festive is here.
Shana Tova!
It’s the first day of the Jewish year and I see it as an excellent reason for a self-treat. cleansing my skin thoroughly and gently, letting healthy, vital skin cells be in the light. It’s also a little moment to put myself in the light.
It only takes few ingredients from the pantry and 30 minutes of your time.
Let’s get started.
Facial skin cleansing-
In a small bowl, open a fresh and used coffee capsule, add a tablespoon of olive oil and mix well.
Take some of the mixture formed and apply on the face (caution, oil makes stains. Above the sink or put a towel or over the sink please). Massage your face gently, in circular motions, for a few good moments. Let the coffee grain slid on your skin rather than scratching it
Rinse your face with lukewarm water, and wipe off with a damp, clean towel. Then pat dry.
Your skin is clean!
Next step, cleansing mask. Ingredients:
1 tbsp egg white
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1/2 tsp tapioca flour (+ -) in case the batter needs to be slightly thickened.
Mix the ingredients well and apply on the face.
Wait about a quarter of an hour and rinse off.
Apply your favorite serum /cream or continue with mask # 2.
Feed Your Skin Mask. Ingredients
1 tsp fine goat yogurt (normal, no flavor Yogurt will be ok as well)
1/2 tsp of pomegranate* or almond flour (finely ground)
1/2 tsp freshly ground fenugreek
1/2 tsp honey
Mix well and apply on face.
Wait about a quarter of an hour and rinse with pleasant water.
Now you are welcome to take few drops of your favorite serum
and finish the treatment with a light massage on soft, smooth and pleasant skin.
