Hygiene is important to our overall health, no doubt, we have learned about it from all angles in the wonderful Corona time we have had.
Facial skin cleansing is important for several reasons.
- Cleanliness is important.
- Fats, dust, makeup, and other kinds of dirt stick to the skin throughout the day and clog our pores interfere the proper functioning of the skin. It will be “harder” for the skin to excrete fats and toxins and absorb the nourishing cream in which you have invested a fortune 😉
- Avoid blackheads and pimples that can be established easily.
- Removing dead skin cells and encouraging healthy, fresh skin regeneration.
However, excess cleansing may be too harsh to your skin, cleaning morning and evening should b
e sufficient. Skin that is aggressively cleansed over some time may become sensitive and even scaly. It is completely unnecessary.
Important to make sure you use products that suits your skin type with the right acidity (PH) level.
If you are wearing makeup, remove it with our wonderful cleansing oil, which will live your skin clear from makeup and will provide your skin nutrients and antioxidants to your skin. This method should suit all skin types. However, if you prefer, our foam cleanser is very gentle on the skin, will clean you thoroughly but will not completely remove all makeup. If you are looking for ALL IN ONE cleanser, check out our Cleansing Gel with or without grains for gentle exfoliation.
Those will maintain the natural acidity level of your skin, will be gentle and will not dry out your skin.
Some important guidelines:
- Do not forget the neck and cleavage, where the skin is also exposed and delicate and part of the face.
- Use a Cleansing Oil to remove makeup and not harsh cleansers that will remove along with the dirt the natural protection of the skin.
- Never get into bed before cleansing your facial skin. During the night the skin will secrete toxins, (one of the functions of the skin) we want these toxins to be able to come out of the body freely and not get stuck in a pore of fat, soot (or make-up) that has not been removed properly.
- Looking into the skin (with a naked mirror) feel it (with clean hands) and pay attention to a general feeling will tell you everything about your skin. Pay attention to dry or oily areas like the T-zone, hormonal changes, weather changes, air pollution and diet. Learn how it affecting your skin, it may be time to replace skin care products that better suit the need of your skin at this time of the year.
- Keep hair away from the facial skin so as not to transfer grease, hair products or dirt.
- Our hands get dirty faster than it seems. Wash hands before touching or treating the facial skin or before inserting a finger into a jar of cream.
- Pay attention to the sensation in the skin after cleansing. If the skin feels dry and taut, it is likely that the cleanser is too harsh for your skin type.
- For deep and quick cleansing, you should occasionally clean your face with steam. NOT SUITABLE for sensitive skin or broken capillaries.
Pour very hot but not boiling water (caution !!) into a bowl with a drop of lemon or lavender essential oil, cover the head with a towel and stand over the steam for a few minutes. The vapors will open the respiratory system, soften the skin and the pores will expand. It’s a wonderful advantage to remove blackheads easily. If you have come this far you should indulge in a wonderful cleansing mask to complete your home spa.
- Exfoliate. Once to twice a week is enough. It is important to help the skin remove dead skin cells to let the new ones rise more easily and gracefully. Gentle mechanical or enzymatic peeling is beneficial for all skin types.
- A cleansing mask once a week will keep your facial skin clean and provide essential minerals.
These are the ten rules for clean and well-groomed skin.
Simple and focused for any busy mom.
